Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the wedding taking place?
Brock House Society, 3875 Point Grey Rd., Vancouver, BC, V6R 1B3 Canada
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive promptly at 4:00pm. If you’re a person who runs late, then aim to arrive at 3:45pm.
What time will the reception end?
The reception will end at midnight with last call around 11:30pm.
What is the dress code?
It’s a formal affair, but with a summer twist! Gents, break out the suits (ties or bow ties optional if it’s blazing). Ladies, think long dresses or chic cocktail attire – just keep heels grass-friendly (block heels, wedges, or flats recommended!). Dress to impress, stay cool, and be ready to dance!
Will there be any transportation to the event?
We know many of you might be staying in the same hotel or district. Closer to the event, once we know who is staying where, we can help arrange for group transportation if that is desired.
I will be driving to the event. Where can I find parking?
We encourage everyone to carpool! But, for those that are driving there is parking, though limited, at the Brock House. If the Brock House parking lot is full, the residential area behind the Brock House is all free parking. Alternatively, Jericho Beach is very close by and has paid parking.
Will the ceremony be taking place indoors or outdoors?
Weather permitting, the ceremony will be taking place outdoors followed by dinner under a marquee tent and reception indoors.
I’m curious about the timing of the day’s events. What is the schedule?
For you detail-oriented people, check out the full schedule here!
Is it ok to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
We'd love for you to snap photos during the celebration - just not during the ceremony. We want to be fully present in the moment with you, so please keep phones and cameras tucked away until we say 'I do'.
Is there a wedding hastag?
No, we do not have a wedding hashtag and we do not want one. Please just tag us on the social media post if you make one.
When will the official invitations be sent?
The invitations have been sent! Check your email! RSVP deadline June 22nd, 2025. Be there or be square.
Can I bring a plus one?
We wish we could invite everyone but this will be a smaller wedding and guests are limited to those with a direct invitation. We appreciate your understanding.
Can I bring my kids?
This is a childfree event. Thank you for your understanding.
Will I have to travel between the ceremony and reception?
No, the ceremony and reception are at the same location! After the ceremony, we’ll move straight into the reception.
Will there be food served?
Absolutely! You won’t leave hungry, we promise!
How can I let you know about my dietary requirements?
Each invitation asks for your dietary restrictions so don’t forget to answer that!
Are you using a gift registry service?
We’re so excited to celebrate with you, and we’re especially grateful to those making the trip from near and far. Instead of a traditional registry, we’re accepting contributions toward our honeymoon in Sardinia – there will be a gift box at the ceremony. No physical gifts, please – just bring your love, dance shoes, and good vibes!
